Nuts & Bolts

Thanks for checking out the Panama For Real Nuts & Bolts page, where you’ll find all of the screwy information that might help your transition to this Central American wonderland a little easier.

Most of, if not all of, the information on this page will come from my blog posts. These are posts that I think need to stand alone as static pages, because of the info they provide. As you probably know, blog posts keep moving down as new ones are added, so I don’t want you to miss out on these tips and pointers.

I’ll make sure to post the dates at the bottom of each article so you can see when it was last written and updated. This is important as information in Panama constantly changes, so my step by step pointers on how to get a driver’s license could differ by the time you get around to actually going through the process yourself.

I’ll do my best to keep everything up to date, but things change here very quickly, so keep that in mind when you’re reading through any of the nuts & bolts tips, checklists, or other articles.

Check out the Nuts & Bolts menu at the top of this page and its submenu articles.

As always, thanks for reading,

I wasn’t sure where to post this on here, hope this is the appropriate place. Just wanted to thank you, and leave some positive feedback for Gary Matteo. We’ve hired him to get the ball rolling with a home purchase and visas for my family and in we are thoroughly impressed. Saying “hired” almost sounds weird because, more than becoming his clients, we feel like he has befriended us. Very professional, knowledgeable, and personable. I can’t say enough good things about him, also his fees are very reasonable (the PFR discount helps!). Congrats to both Chris and Gary Matteo for everything they’re doing to help anyone who’s thinking of making the leap.

      Hey Paul,

Thanks so much for sharing the info about Gary. He does a great job and really gets the customer service aspect of things. A lot of the lawyers here are just about getting your money and getting the job done. He seems to understand that it’s an important and nerve-racking experience for most of us. He’s very professional and friendly. And I’m glad the PFR discount helped 🙂

      Thanks again, Paul,
